I remember when Scott got the idea for this Sunday strip. Doesn't seem like it's been a month or 2 since that coffee session, but then again, time is funny to me.
Scott instantly laughed when he saw the avoiding people in the office comment. I think everyone has that feeling of dread when certain co-workers come to mind.
I use the term "time bandit" for people that stop you and talk inanely without respect to your need to be doing stuff other than shooting the breeze.

I often wonder what life was really like before mobile phones. Tina is losing her grip without hers. I remember being afraid to leave the house because I might miss a phone call from a prospective employer. My paranoia essentially turned into a form of anxiety disorder with agoraphobia.
Regardless, Tina's broken phone problem is dull.

Germs. Phones have a lot of germs. Phones are also very valuable windows into the owner's personal interests and such. One should never feel comfortable enough to allow someone to borrow his phone, especially in an office were landlines surely exist or even voip.
Scott, you are missing the obvious problems with the phone sharing scenario thus far, though Dilbert mocking Tina's anti-phone case stance when she broke her phone due to aesthetics...

Germs are everywhere... especially of phones that have been used on the toilet.
I am reminded of the phone sanitizers from a certain book by another fellow named Adams. Or I could be 42 degrees wrong in my thinking.
