I remember when Scott got the idea for this Sunday strip. Doesn't seem like it's been a month or 2 since that coffee session, but then again, time is funny to me.
Scott instantly laughed when he saw the avoiding people in the office comment. I think everyone has that feeling of dread when certain co-workers come to mind.
I use the term "time bandit" for people that stop you and talk inanely without respect to your need to be doing stuff other than shooting the breeze.

Scott is co-creator of WhenHub, which is some sort of app. Scott is all about persuasion. He talks about it and President Trump a lot on Periscope, his blog, and sometimes on his Youtube channel. Scott always seems to be working, but he's also using the various apps that I just mentioned almost always, it seems. Considering he feeds off his interactions for his creative ventures, I find today's strip ironic.

Following up yesterday's interview relating to business culture, today we see PHB tauting their culture as its strength. What is this strength? Fierce competitive culture... that is modestly hidden.

Did I already mention I got "promoted" to team lead last week? Yesterday, my boss's "right hand" essentially asked me why I worried about getting things done well. I had to go on the road during the unload and nothing really seemed accomplished during the half-hour plus I was gone. I probably mentioned I almost hate my team.
I rather be on the bench of a championship team than the captain of a last place team. I have no sympathy for Milton's Satan. I just need to find a way to make my team to embrace a team culture. They lack the individual element of having distinction beyond being my whiny team member, my ditsy team member, and my slow minded member. Sure we get the job done when all is said and done, but there's so much room to improve.

I have a manager that micromanages and blames everyone else when his micromanaging fails. CEO tooting his own horn about the next version being great, gives buyers reason to wait until its release rather than settle for current meh. Zero sales means someone has to go, and CEO doesn't want to fire his ignorant self.
I've been fired/laid-off a few times. The last couple times, I was let go for reasons beyond my control by weak bosses who were probably rightfully fired or demoted within a month of my termination. Other boss probably was fired too, but not sure. She left a short time after firing me though, and my replacement replaced her.

If you follow Scott on Periscope, he talks about word thinking and bad analogies a lot... basically people use words to sound clever but lack the substance to back up a logical thought. I'm not sure if Scott ever mentioned the Mandela Effect, may be I'll ask him... Anyways, today they have a meeting and a guy won't shut up whenever Dilbert says something about a minor fix. Regardless, jerk tries to win final argument by saying stale lines like you sound like Hitler or say the world is flat.

Yesterday, I was disappointed that Saturday's strip was about Alice. Today it's a presentation/meeting with a jerk sitting next to Wally* making comments that Dilbery is dumb and such for for his presentation. Strip concludes with him asking Dogbert, "What's wrong with people?"

Sunday is supposed to be better than the rest with the extra panels, but I'm not feeling anything of use from them today.

Last Sunday, the strip more or less set up PHB being annoying to get Dilbert to moan, yet there never was an actual moan. Perhaps the jerk in today's strip finds his demise this week?

The daily strip through Thursday was PHB interupting Dilbert about his project that took him a few days to set up a programming environment and more time dealing with technical debt. Then there was the flow problem when adding a project and the zone interruption.
Today, PHB asks why Dilbert isn't done with the software, to which Dilbert sharply responds in front Catbert the above mentioned interruptions. Catbert being clueless asks PHB "what did he mean by that?" PHB says "sounded like some sort of Feng Shei."

I never knew the definition of the Chinese interior design philosophy had words "flow of chi" and "create a harmonious environments," so PHB actually seems clever in his response.
