Wally gives great advice. He carries a red folder to give the illusion of actual work. When getting stopped and asked for assistance, he holds up the red folder and says "I have this red file to complete."
I believe the art of appearing busy is very important. I've had a number of jobs, and I always got caught appearing less than active when I was transitioning between projects. Main problem about working best when away from people and focused. It's not sanitary to take a red folder to the can, is it?
